Wplus9 June/July Release: Day 2

Saturday, June 1, 2013

Welcome back to Day 2 of Wplus9 Design's June/July Release!  Today we've got a couple super adorable stamp sets, known as Sweet Treats and Sweet Treats Fillers, as well as their coordinating die to share with you all.  On top of that, Dawn has designed a sweet Cupcake Wrapper die and paired it with a Cupcake Wrapper Accessories die; and I've got that to show off, too.  I know that's a lot to cover.  So, we'd better just get started.
I started this card by cutting the card base from White cardstock, as well as the Lake House cardstock and yellow, polka dot, patterned, paper rounded rectangles, with my Cameo.  I then anchored the two rectangles together with white-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches and ink distressed their edges, before adhering them, with foam tape, to the card face.  A die-cut, from brown, sheet music, patterned paper, banner, which I also glittered, was then adhered near the base of the card...
and topped with a stamped, in Chocolate Chip ink, on a die-cut, from aqua, gingham, patterned paper, scalloped frame.  That frame serves as the foundation for one of the darling cupcakes from this new stamp set.  And y'all, I know I said that yesterday's Fresh Cut Florals stamp set had hundreds of different stamping options; but this one has that and so much more.  I didn't even feel as though this card did the set a lick of justice.  So, I've used it for my Group Post Day project, too.  Can't wait to show you what else it can do!  Anyway, I stamped all the cupcake-associated images, in Jet Black ink, on their individual, White, cardstock die cuts.  The ribbon on the cake plate was then stamped in that yummy, new, Lake House, pigment ink; and the cupcake was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  The wrapper was stamped in stamped-off, Chocolate Chip ink, just to get that lighter look.  It was then topped with the sweet, little daisy, which had its center stamped in Daffodil Delight ink and was glittered.  I then colored in the stick with Basic Black ink and hung the "HB2U" banner from it.
The "celebrate SWEETIE" sentiment was stamped, in both Jet Black and White inks, on an ink distressed, chipboard, word bubble.
Finally, I topped the card with a white, seam binding ribbon, dressy bow, which was embellished with a vintage, yellow button, laced with a couple of hemp twine bows.
And check out how fun it looks paired with the coordinating, Cupcake Wrapper die cut.  CUTE!  Right?
It was all die-cut from the same patterned papers used on the card itself, pieced together, and embellished with a yellow, button blossom, laced with hemp twine.  Yum!
Further inspiration for this card came from PageMaps' Shape It Up Card Challenge...
and The Shabby Tea Room's Week #169: Shabby Sunshine.
Thanks, as always, for stopping by!  Please be sure to peek in on the rest of the designers to see what all they've cooked up, for you, today, as well as the Wplus9 Design Blog to comment for your chance to win goodies from this release, and have a blessed one!
