TCM: Just for Him Blog Hop

Thursday, June 6, 2013

Howdy, and welcome to The Craft's Meow's Just for Him Blog Hop!  You should be coming here from Jessica Fink's Blog, but if you didn't or want to start at the beginning of the hop, a complete list of hop participants can be found on the TCM Store Blog.  Here's how I was inspired.
I started this card by stamping a piece of Kraft cardstock, in White ink, over and over, with the mustache image; trimming it, across its bottom edge, with a piece of navy, polka dot, patterned paper and, down its left side, with a piece of multi-colored, argyle, patterned paper; ink distressing their edges; framing them with a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock; and machine stitching, with black-threaded, zig-zag stitches, around their combined edges and between their connections.  I then wrapped it, three times, just to the right of the argyle strip, with hemp twine and tied it, in a bow, laced through a red button, near the top edge of the card face.
The rounded rectangle frame was die-cut from Oatmeal cardstock, ink distressed, and glittered, before being secured just below that buttoned bow.  I then die-cut another frame from a green, herringbone, patterned paper; black embossed it with the "FOR MY FAVORITE MAN" and "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" sentiments; and filled in the space between the two with a Cameo-cut, from Black cardstock, mustache, which I created myself using my silhouette.
An antique silver arrow completes the look.
Thanks so much for peeking in!  Now, off you go to Karen Baker's Blog to continue your hop.  Commenting by 11:59 pm PST, on Sunday, June 9, 2013, on each of the blog hop posts, makes you eligible to win a stamp set of your choice.  You are not required to leave comments on each blog, but your chances of winning do increase.  So, be sure to leave lots of love along the way.  Thanks again!  Be blessed!
