Pinspired Challenge #12

Hey, y'all!  Nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary is happening around our place today other than it's raining.  Woohoo!  My gardens seem to like heavenly rain so much more than water from the spigot.  I've also been cleaning out lots of cupboards and closets hunting for treasures to sell at our yard sale this coming weekend.  It's been a lot of work getting ready, but I had to sneak in a little time to get creative and whipped up this.  Enjoy!
I started this card by piecing a bit of aqua, stripe, patterned paper above a piece of gray, medallion, patterned paper; framing them with a piece of White cardstock; and machine stitching, around their combined edges, with white-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches.  I then wrapped a length of red, saddle-stitch ribbon, around the prepped piece, over the connection of the two patterned papers; tied it, in a bow, near the right edge...
and stamped the "sending a bushel of LOVE" sentiment, in Jet Black ink, in the bottom center of the gray paper, before adhering the entire thing, with foam tape, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.
The edges of a piece of die-cut, White cardstock were then ink distressed in preparation for the jar filled with hearts, which was created by masking off the negative image of the jar and stamping it, in Riding Hood Red ink, full of hearts.  I then removed the mask; stamped the jar itself, in Jet Black ink, on vellum; hand cut it out; dressed it up with a length of Baker's Twine, tied in a bow; and adhered it over the stamped hearts.  A trio of Riding Hood Red, cardstock, heart die cuts were then scattered around the base of the jar and given a little shine with Crystal Effects, before the rounded rectangle was adhered, with foam tape, just to the left of the ribbon bow.
Inspiration for this card came from Pinspired's Challenge #12.
I'll be back, tomorrow, with another card to share.  Then, I'll round out the week with a For the Love of Books post, as well as this month's Friday Faves and a winner for my giveaway.  It's a busy time, and I've got lots of fun stuff to share, but it all has to wait for the perfect timing.  So, until tomorrow, thanks so much for stopping by, and have a terrific Tuesday!
